1. She manages to look cute and sassy even while clutching a top hat
2. Her Culdesac knit is delicious
3. The scarf/knitted top combo totally rocks in a way that neither clashes nor looks to matchy-matchy
4. She looks like she knows something I don't
5. Basically, I want what she's having...

PCB in Melbourne Design Guide
The clever folks at the Melbourne Design guide describe this nifty publication as 'the friend you've always wanted to have.' We couldn't agree more! Especially now that Ms Pussycat Black has page 159 (almost) all to herself. And gorgeous she is too. This is the must-have guide for design loving Melbournians interested in everything design - from furniture, architecture, jewelry and fashion. There is even a section about yummy and stylish places to eat and hang out. Copies for sale in store.

The bold and the beautiful
Thwarted lover: What do you mean she makes you feel like sunshine and kisses?
Tall, dark and handsome man: I'm sorry, thwarted lover. I cannot resist her sunny disposition and uplifting demeanor.
Thwarted lover: It's that damn yellow dress! She never takes it off.
Tall, dark and handsome man: Ha. Ha. That's what you think.
Thwarted lover: I feel sick.
Tall, dark and handsome man: Not me. For some reason I feel so...cheery.
Thwarted lover: Humph.

Day dream believer
Call me old-fashioned, but there is nothing quite like a handcrafted garment that you know you will be passing onto your children as an example of hip vintage gorgeousness. In fact, I have had many a daydream about the day my daughter is old enough to revive my old favourites and turn them into a look of her own. This vest-top by Mucke has recently earned a starring role in my in-head movies about my future grown daughter rocking my sartorial vintage delights. Get in quick if you'd like a Mucke daydream of your own.

Lady of one-thousand babushkas
They say everybody wants to be famous. Personally, I think this is debatable. Who wants to be stuck in a $28000 a night hotel room only to be too scared to open the curtains in case some broke papparazo gets a shot of you in the nuddie? On the other hand, it would be nice to go down being renowned for having done something special. That's why I am planning to become known as 'the lady with one-thousand babushkas.' I am starting my world-famous babushka collection today, with this handbag. Please don't steal my idea. Nobody likes a wannabe. Just ask Sienna Miller.

Yay for winter
I'm not going to lie to you. Winter gets me down. It's all grey and pasty-skinned and the rain makes my hair go frizzy. But you can't beat the clothes. Take this boiled wool wrap dress/jacket ensemble by Ella. Wear this in summer, spring even, and you'd be sweating like Madonna during a particularly intense session of Bikram yoga. Only without the biceps and expensively enhanced facial features, dammit. But I digress. All I'm really trying to say is that I love this outfit and now is the time to wear it. Go winter. Oi oi oi!
