Back in the day, I loved writing letters to pen pals I found in the pages of Smash Hits and Dolly. I even had a pen pal in America who wanted to be a model and frequently sent me photos of herself working on her tan. Nowadays, everyone emails and most of my snail mail consists, sadly, of bills, bills, bills!Thank goodness for cute earrings that bring me back to a more innocent era, a time before Facebook and Twitter and instant messaging. Do I sound really old?
